New Retail Outlet at Shell Maybury Junction: Latest West Craigs News

West Craigs, Edinburgh News: Shell at Maybury Junction Closed for Renovations: Potential New Retail Space for West Craigs Residents

The Shell petrol station at the Maybury Junction with Glasgow Road has recently closed its doors for renovations, sparking a wave of speculation and excitement among local residents. According to posts in a Corstorphine Facebook group, there is a strong rumour that the Shell garage is set to partner with Co-op Food. This information comes from a Co-op employee working at another nearby store.

If these rumours prove true, the addition of a Co-op Food outlet would be a significant boon for the West Craigs area. Currently, the nearest local convenience store is the Co-op in East Craigs, forcing many residents to travel to the Morrisons at the Gyle Shopping Centre for their shopping needs.

At present, the Shell petrol station at Maybury Junction offers a range of services including Costa Express, a Shell Deli, and Amazon Locker and Returns. The introduction of a Co-op Food store could enhance these amenities, providing residents with even greater convenience and a wider variety of shopping options on their doorstep.

What do you think about the potential addition of a Co-op Food store at the Shell Maybury Junction? Is this the kind of retail development you would like to see in our area? Share your thoughts with us – we want to hear your opinion!
